I. Teaching Aims

Knowledge Aims: Students can understand the meaning of past perfect tense and some new words.

Ability Aim: Students can use present perfect tense to make sentences and communicate with others in daily communication.

Emotional Aim: After learning this lesson, students will be more interested in English and have more confidence to speak English loudly.

Teaching Key Point: Students will be able to acquire new knowledge especially the grammar through the text.

Teaching Difficult Point: After teaching the new grammar, students can use this grammar in their daily life.

V. Teaching Procedures

Step 1 Lead-in

After greeting students, the teacher shows students a video about the change of computers and ask them to guess the topic today.

Step 2 Pre-learning

Teacher shows some new words and the new grammar present perfect tense to students through some sentences.

Step 3 While-learning

After bearing the topic in their mind, teacher will let students read the passage quickly, line out the words and grammar we just learnt and then speak the topic out loudly.

For the second time, Teacher invites them to do intensive reading and try to draw a time lineabout the development of the robot then try to make a chart of the timeline

Step 4 Post-learning

With this chart students will make conversations with group members and share it with others,

like: When has the… become ...? It has been...since...

Step 5 Summary & Homework

Teacher and students summarize together.

Teacher asks students to find something they has been doing, like Lily has been learning dancing since 5 years ago.
